Luuk is a photographer and creator living and working in Amsterdam. Since 2021 he has been working on an ongoing series of photos he calls “sketches”. For this series, he wanders extensive distances of 20, 30, and sometimes 40 kilometers in and around Amsterdam, capturing whatever catches his eye.
 
By continuously looking with curiosity and attention, the training of the eye is an unceasaing visual training.
What often appears in his photos are outstanding objects contrasting with their surroundings. Often in an intriguing and humorous way. It’s a flexible recipe of the right time, the right place, light and shadow that makes his work intriguing. Composition plays a big role. Always using a  50mm lens, no zoom, he is required to move himself around the subject.

All prints are made to order on epson paper with a satin mat finish. The price of the print is dependent on its sizing.
